JYAC is pleased to announce Marian Hennessy has been appointed JYAC’s Manager, Heritage and Landscape.
Marian joined the JYAC team earlier this year as Coordinator, Heritage & Landscape after more than 9 years at Central Desert Native Title Services. ‘Maz’ brings great skills and experience and has track record of work with Traditional Owners to protect cultural heritage.
She says that she’s excited to be back working with Martu and has enjoyed catching up with familiar faces and families.
Marian is replacing Barb Friedewald who was with JYAC for the past 5 years – the Board and staff wished Barb all the best in her new role.
The JYAC Heritage and Landscape team continues its work protecting Martu ngurra, with the Wanajarra & Yina Elders Council and Heritage Nominators guiding this work.
